There was no indication that anything had been done to the vehicle. That same day, June 13th, inspector Daniel Chan Yin Leong, apparently carried out a second inspection and passed the vehicle on that second inspection. Two of my worse fears when buying a used car, to find out that it has engine issues AND transmission issues. The inspector Daniel Chan Yin Leong failed the vehicle because it was found to have an engine oil leak and transmission oil leak. You guessed it, the vehicle failed the first inspection on June 13th, 2022. A full 7 days AFTER the vehicle had been shipped. Rimaz finally uploaded the Pre-export inspection on June 22nd. But once again there was no Pre-export inspection details or findings. Within a couple of days after that, Rimaz uploaded the Bill of Lading and the invoice for the transaction in Befarward.jp's CAP system - "Car At Progress" (essentially an account for your order). A full two weeks later, on June 15th, 2022, Rimaz sent me a notification that the vehicle had been loaded onto the vessel, with the estimated delivery date of August 17th, 2022 and still no Pre-Export inspection report. Which is step 2 in accordance with his email, but no word on the Pre-export inspection which should have been step 1 according to his previous email. I made the payment on May 29th, 2022 and by June 1st, Rimaz sent me an email that the vehicle was estimated to be shipped by June 15th, 2022. (It cannot be the company the vehicle was purchased from). in my country before a vehicle can be accepted on island, it must pass this rigorous inspection, which has to be done by a 3rd party company. This email outlined the next steps in the process, after a vehicle had been purchased and they were as follows: Step 1: Pre-export inspection Step 2: Shipping Schedule Step 3: Confirmation of Loading (into cargo vessel) Step 4: Bill of Lading PDF Step 5: Dispatch BL Documents The shipping outline from Rimaz clearly stated that step 1 of the process would be the Pre- Export Inspection. Which is where I'm located, and the final destination of my purchase. It turns out Rimaz is the handler/salesperson for all vehicle purchase by customers in the Eastern Caribbean. Once the purchase was made, I received an email from "Rimaz" with the subject SHIPPING OUTLINE - What to expect after confirmation. I made payment for a vehicle on after carefully reviewing all photos of the vehicle over the course of a couple of weeks, the vehicle seemed to be well maintained and in good condition, so I went ahead with the purchase.
